La Cath has been the same for years now and I don't remember it being that devastating (not in solo mode at least).
Maybe you want to revise your equipment and stats?
Don't blame it on the game if you can't pass a dungeon or a quest. Other people did pass, so can you, just be smart.

if you can't get through something, or it seems to you that the mobs are too strong, then you need to choose another zone for pumping / farming, return when you become stronger. the game is built in such a way that your stats grow with almost any action, be it fishing, completing quests, upgrading equipment or something else. the community is quite newbie friendly, don't hesitate.

La Cate isn't even a gear check dgn but you may need to check yours. One can get away with +20 blues in it. If you need some blues I can farm it again.
